Never stop to dream
There is always a reason why God has sent you into this world. God has great plans for each and every one of us. God has good and great thoughts for each of us who serve Him. His plans for us are the best ever. We sometimes long for something good, or even something better, but His desire is to give us His best. God has a blessed future for His children. It is a future of hope and a future which shines brighter by the day. God’s plan for His people is to grow and flourish.
“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18)
“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon” (Psalms 92:12)
“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee” (Psalms 84:11, 12).
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11)
Your dream is what you see for your future. It is like an eye into your future.
This tiny dream in us has to grow in our hearts. It is possible that the Lord can show you many different things which are still yet unaccomplished, still yet untouched, things left undone in the work of the Lord.
God is still calling us today to fill in the gap. We must never bury that dream given to us. We must never let it die and wither away. That can be an opening where the Lord will do great things though your life and your ministry. We are not to forget that we are all so special and unique to God. We may be ordinary beings yet we can perform extraordinary works and fulfill His call. Our God is an extraordinary God. We can live a life as God’s vessels simple yet significant, ordinary yet with such extraordinary callings. He has said: “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not” (Jeremiah 33:3).
Nevertheless, if we are to succeed in life we are to watch out for dream killers.
We need to be aware that not many are excited with what God has put in your heart. They will be out to destroy that dream that you have, create closed doors for you, hinder you from proceeding forward, bringing disappointments to you along the way, all with a purpose to kill the dream that you may have for the Glory of God.
What can tear down your dream?
Self- satisfaction and complacency sets in when we are content only with a second best or an average. Sometimes things are done only as a routine or a duty. Our dreams will not unfold if what we do does not emerge out from the core of our innermost being.
Stumbling blocks can put an end to your dreams. The dreams which God has put in your heart may cause to bring about a change in the system. It could be a ground-breaking and pioneering work, a work which could turn away from tradition. This kind of dream is bound to face hurdles as many do not like change. If we give in to these hurdles it could diminish or destroy our dreams.
Stagnation will not make us fulfill our God-given dreams. Many of us and even leaders stagnate after years of ministry. This attitude will deviate us from accomplishing our dreams. We need to have a long-term plan for our lives and our ministries. We can then work on this so as we do not come to a stand still.
Jesus loves you!!!
