It is easy for the disabled by the state when we face challenges. I know that. I experienced it all my life. You must be wondering: What am I doing? How can I reach something from a place where I was at this time to a new destination? I'm not sure how to do all this! I was scared half to death!.
I think that I should be a rich or famous or beautiful or have mastered the magical talent or have an amazing courage or other beautiful dream and wait for talent scouts "find" myself to make something in my life. I also blame myself on many occasions because of other people who I consider to be more successful because of their looks can get all their expectations.
But the truth is, if we want to do something in our lives, to make a mark, then we can not wait for something big came up, rang the bell, and offer us wine Promised Land. We must make a beginning.
So start from the place where you are today. Do not look to the back of your textbook, and do not make unreasonable demands on yourself - like telling yourself to do everything perfectly at the first opportunity. Take a small step in the right direction, even if the step you seem uncertain and unconvincing.
Talk about stepping in faith, a few years ago I attended a 5K run. I only practiced about two weeks, where I occupy the position 12 ... than 13 people in my age group and occupies the position 182 of the participants as a whole. OK, so seeing the results really make me depressed, I admit it. At first I felt embarrassed because I can not do anything better than that, and then I started thinking about my age and how old I am today. Stop Until There!!. I must say to myself. I have lost the meaning of all race. It's not always about winning. It's about out of the situation and try melakukansesuatu.
Many in this life bicata about the show itself. So it is with our Christian journey.
I mean, in fact, true that Moses was the best person who should bring the Israelites out of Egyptian colonialism? Many years before God spoke to him through a burning bush, Moses killed an Egyptian and Pharaoh became angry because of it. If you are Pharaoh, will you talk with a former enemy? Plus, he did not have enough confidence about his ability.
What about Gideon? He was hiding in the winepress, when the angel came to give the message that gives the spirit and bring a direct order from God.
And Esther, he was a Jew, and as such as fate, along with his people, he was ready to die once the king find the original nationality.
Everyone is not "appropriate or suitable" for assignment work, nor if we are to check their resume or curriculum vitae, but when God called them with the command: "Follow me", they do it. Surely they are afraid. Some fell like a stone. Others even question the logic of God's consideration. But despite feeling intimidated, and even with their shortcomings, they all decided to trust God to fulfill the project something that can not be done naturally.
Declaration of them became famous, including us, is something the same thing: they make themselves ready for the Lord, believing that when they walk in faith, even in their first step, God will do the rest for them.
I recently heard a great definition to the words: "courage". Perhaps like me, you come to the wrong conclusion that courage means you are not afraid. But author Bruce Wilkinson said that courage is not absence of fear, but rather to make the pressure even though filled with fear.
If we wait until we are not afraid anymore, we will lose the opportunity. Live in fear. Live with legs trembling and dry throat. Who cares if you do not know how to do it? Just do something!. Do as much as you know how to do it, and trust God for the rest.
We do not know what life will we carry, we can not be sure of tomorrow, but we can make now influence where we are today to set our minds to do something good, something from God, however big or small the job .
Remember the general rule of greatness: if you want to do something big, you first have to do something small. If you want to do something great, chances are when you are working with something a little better first. You likely will not be doing it all in one day, as I often thought.
Start small, and watch God move in it. When we trusted in small things, God will give us great. So put in a small seed in your life, and watch the seeds that will grow until the harvest when you believe in God.
